The Westway: a portrait of a community
Line Dancing Ladies
This project is part of the exhibition The Westway: a portrait of a community a major project that is split into three sections on this site, The Urban Gypsies of The Westway, The Westway Community and Line Dancing Ladies.Over a period of 18 months I explored the communities who live, work or play under the A40, an elevated highway that passes over the heads of the local people on its way to central London. The Latymer Christian Centre is where I photographed the line dancing ladies and this centre is very close to Grenfell Tower and became the focal point for the remembrance of the victims of the disaster.
